Statement regarding server status
We are currently experiencing a network issue affecting our servers in Edmonton, Canada, where 8b8t is hosted. It appears there is an issue with the fiber line, and we have already contacted our Internet Service Provider. Unfortunately, it may take until tomorrow for them to fully investigate and resolve the problem. At the moment, we're playing the waiting game.
To prevent this from happening again, we are also purchasing a backup Internet provider for the Edmonton location. If our primary connection goes down in the future, we’ll be able to switch to the backup connection and keep 8b8t online.
In the meantime, we are spinning up a temporary/test server on our XERA INC nodes in Miami, where the Internet connection is currently fully operational.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the instability you've experienced over the past few months. Much of this instability has been related to the Internet provider ever since we moved to a different site in our Edmonton location, and this is not the experience we want to provide our players.
As an apology, we will be hosting 2 Ultra giveaways and running a shop sale for the downtime and issues caused.
